How to Create a Virtual Machine

How to: Create a Virtual Machine

If you ever thought that installing an Operating System, in a virtual machine was daunting, learn how to create a virtual machine easily with virtual box.

Virtualization Technologyhow to create a virtual machine allows us to test any operating system in a virtual environment.  You can also run software applications as if it was on the actual physical machine.  In a nutshell it’s basically a software application that you install on your PC.  Once you setup the software, you can configure multiple Operating Systems, on the single physical machine.

Virtual Box, is created by Oracle.  It is a virtual machine software, which allows you to test drive operating systems and software in a virtual environment.  In this how to guide, I will show you how easy it is to create a new virtual machine, to install an operating System.

What You’ll Need:

For this tutorial, we will be using

  • Oracle Virtual Box, a open source virtualization software.
  • A copy of your Operating System such as Linux.

Getting Started:

Part 1: Create Virtual PC
