It can be frustrating for newbies, to find out how to do certain things on your new Smartphone. I have to admit, I couldn’t figure out how to delete text messages on my android mobile. So I have decided to make this post for newbies in mind.
If you get so many text messages on your android phone, and want to give it a spring clean, today I’d like to show you a couple ways on how to delete text messages on your android mobile.
There are a couple of ways, you can delete Individual text or SMS messages/Threads. (A thread is a group of posts on a single topic on your android phone). You can Remove Multiple Text Messages or Threads as well.
You can do all this easily, from your Android mobile.
Delete Individual Text Message/Threads on your Android Mobile phone
Step 1: On your Android Phone, select the messages tab.
Step 2: From within the messaging section, select the menu button on your phone
Step 3: From within the menu, select where it says “Delete Threads”
Step 4: Choose the message or thread, in this example, I chose the third one in the list. So make sure there is a green tick next to the message as shown.
Step 5: In the right hand corner tap your finger where it says “Delete” as shown below.
Step 6: You will then receive a confirmation box to delete the message. Press ok to confirm
That’s it your text message / thread has been deleted.
Remove Multiple Messages/Threads
Deleting multiple text messages on your Android Phone, can be easily done. Just follow this easy step by step Tutorial.
Step 1: Press the messaging icon as shown below
Step 2: Press the menu button on your Phone, then the following menu will appear. Press delete threads as shown below.
Step 3: Select the message you want to delete, by clicking on the square box on the side. When there are green ticks, like shown below, you can press the delete button. This will delete the messages selected.
Remove All Threads
Step 1: Press the messaging icon as shown below.
Step 2: Where it says “Select All” check the box on the side, until it turns green. All the messages will be selected.
Step 3: Once the messages are selected, Press The Delete Button.
You may receive a warning dialog box, once you have accepted, your messages will be deleted.
