Getting Started

This tutorial is for your Windows 7 PC and we will be using Google Drive as a storage solution and we will change my documents location windows 7 .

Step 1: Open My Computer, by pressing Ctrl + E or by clicking on the start icon, in the menu bar, and then clicking on MY COMPUTER

Step 2: In the libraries section, right click on Documents.  In the menu that appears select Properties, as shown in the image below.

Step3: Select include a folder, as shown in the image below.

Step 4: Be sure you have created a folder such as the one in the example.  Then Select the folder you want to use, in this example we are going to use the folder named My Documents. Then Select include folder. See example image.

Step 5: Back in the Documents Properties dialog box, Select the My Documents folder (or the folder you created in Google Drive). This will change documents folder location to Google Drive.  Then Press “Set Save Location” and click “Apply” as shown as below.

Step 6: Next you will see this message. Click yes to continue.moving files

Step 7: Your files will start to synchronize to Google Drive.  You can check the progress by right clicking on the Google Drive icon in the task bar.

Step 8: Once you right click on the Google Drive icon, you will see this menu. This menu shows the files that are currently synchronize to Google Drive.  It may take some time depending on your connection.  (Note: On a wireless connection, this will use your download data, depending on what you upload to Google Drive).
