It can be very frustrating, for users to turn to data recovery software, to realize that they were not able to recover lost data.  This was the case when a friend of mine asked me to fix their external hard drive.

It seemed that It had become corrupted.  My friend was able to use folders on the hard drive,  but when he came to click on the videos folder, (which contained his family’s  videos), it came up with a message.  The message was “You need to format the disk in Drive G: Before you can use it.” He had attempted to fix this error with other recovery software, but others had failed to fix the error. I then suggested to use Minitool Power Data Recovery as a last resort.

I attempted to use Minitools Power data recovery, to repair the error at hand, and surprising it worked.  So if you are looking for a data recovery suite, turn to Minitool Data Recovery.

      Power Data Recovery Review

Power Data Recovery comes with a suite of tools for your data recovery needs.  The free version comes with 1GB data recovery, which is ideal for people who want to recover some photos from their SD card. However if you are looking to restore files and folders or a whole partition, you may be looking at a few hours that it would take to recover, and you would probably need  to get the full version in this example.  But in the end, you will recover what you have lost, where other software has failed.

Some of the products features include the ability to:

      • Recover deleted files and folders.
      • Recover data from damaged partition.
      • Recover data from inaccessible hard drive.
      • Recover data after re-partition.

      The Interface

The Products interface is simple to navigate.  You can choose from four different “Modules” as they call it, for the type of recovery needed to perform the task at hand.  Once you start a module, a wizard will start to help you through the recovery process.

Once the program starts the recovery process this may take some time to perform the action. If you are recovering a whole hard drive or partition, be warned that the process could take a few hours.  However, this is the case for most data recovery software anyway.  But once it finds the deleted partition, its as simple as clicking on the files and folders,  that you want to recover.

      • Simple and Easy to use graphic user interface.
      • Easy to follow Wizard.

      • May take hours to recover whole hard drive.
      • Have to Pay for a license to recover more than 1 GB .
